The news is filled with stories of how AI and machine learning are revolutionizing business. But if you’re still wondering how transformational technologies will impact your work, industry, and the economy, we have good news: we’re helping to bring the 2019 SingularityU Canada Summit to Edmonton on April 23 and 24.

The summit will feature panel discussions, hands-on product demos and a chance to network with technology innovators, thought leaders and trailblazers. Participants will learn about the transformative impact that technologies like artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and digital medicine will have on our lives and our world.

“SingularityU taught me that the pace of change in the world is accelerating. The convergence of exponential technologies will drive more change in the next 10 years than we’ve seen in the past 100 years,” said Edward Yee, who works in Lead Finance Innovation & Transformation at ATB. Yee was part of a group that previewed SingularityU before the summit.

“Understanding the patterns, stages, and impacts of exponential change is something that I bring with me everyday on everything I tackle,” said Yee.

And, Yee is not alone. Sunita Coloma, a director with ATB’s Business & Agriculture team admits SingularityU has had a deep impact on the way she works.

“I definitely left with a change of mindset,” said Coloma. “I came out thinking of abundance versus scarcity. I looked at innovation and technology in a whole new way. I was seeing ideas tested in Singularity’s labs that I didn’t think was possible yet. I also learned the concept of an innovation sprint which our teams still use today to bring ideas to market much faster.”
